CHRIST Matriculation Higher Secondary School, established in 1994, is yet another feather in the bejeweled crown of more than 175 years of educational service by the CMI (Carmelites of Mary Immaculate) Fathers of the Preshitha Province, Coimbatore. CMI is the first indigenous congregation for men, founded by Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara in 1831.He laid the foundation for all the progressive fields of activities to which the congregation is committed at present in more than 31 countries around the globe – the Indian contribution to the global humanity at large. True to the exhortation of our founder to serve in every need of the people around, we are involved in various educational, social and humanitarian services. This school is recognized by the Matriculation Board of Tamil Nadu upto the secondary level and is run under the aegis of the Little Flower Educational Society, Coimbatore.

The famous American author Tom Bodett would say “The difference between school and life? In school, you are taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, you are given a test that teaches you a lesson.” My dear friends, now a days the internal and external structure of the educational system is changing every day. The traditional conventions of the education system are on its way of creative innovations. The curriculum is adapting an all inclusive approach and style. Taking into consideration the words of Tom Bodett, our education should be practical life oriented and in touch with the real life situations than a mere arm chaired spoon feeding inside the four classroom walls. When we go through the teaching pedagogies and activities of our school, it is pretty clear that we are aiming at the integral and holistic development of the children. We maintain a very cordial relationship among the staff, parents and children. That helps us to dig out and explore the hidden possibilities of our students.our school always emphasize on the quality of the education. We incorporate the dimensions of creative learning, social commitment, social interactions and spirit of charity etc through the creative and colorful programmes arranged here in each academic year and thereby molding the students to become fruitful members for the society and creative citizens for the Nation.
