Seethapathy Clinic and Hospital founded by Dr N S Murali began as a small practice in Luz when Dr N S Murali and Dr Sarojini Raman started their clinical practice together. It moved to its current premises in 1963. Over time, it has grown in size, and the services offered have expanded to where they are today. The hospital has been particularly lucky to have the goodwill, support and encouragement from its colleagues and patients alike. This has helped the hospital reach where it is, and it continues to motivate the team to achieve more.

In 2013, Seethapathy Clinic & Hospital took on the operations and management of the EV Kalyani Medical Centre, a landmark housed in Chennai’s Radhakrishnan Salai. The EV Kalyani Medical Centre in itself is a story of legacy in the world of obstetrics and gynaecology, founded more than six decades ago in 1949 by Dr EV Kalyani, the first woman MD in Tamilnadu. In 2016, with the objective to ensure continued care for the newborn, a ten-bedded level 2 NICU was added to the facility.

The vision and mission of the hospital has been in keeping with the philosophy of the founders : that it is possible to offer quality care at affordable costs.
