The Legendary Ambur Briyani came into exitence as a humble home based business in the 1890’s through the expertise of the 'Briyani Legend' Hussain Baig. The secret briyani recipe developed by him in the late 19th century is what has brought success to this traditional family business.

He first began selling briyani from his home and in 1932, his son Khurshid Baig opened a small diner in the busy town bazaar and named it Khurshid Hotel, which is still present today.

Around the year 1971 khurshid baig’s son in law Nazeer Ahmed, following the family legacy, Started Rahmaniya Briyani in Ambur bazaar, which is still present today.

Muneer Ahmed, Nazeer Ahmed’s son following his family legacy opened Star Briyani on the Chennai - Bangalore National highway. Star Briyani, today has grown around 34 outlets in india and is expanding internationally.
